Forum on Canova and the Presidential Image (Three-part Series)

In this three-part series, participants will examine the construction of the presidential image, as framed by the special exhibition Canova's George Washington. Each after-hours conversation will be led by a noted scholar, each with a distinct perspective on the commemoration of public figures from antiquity through the twenty-first century: Kenneth S. Lapatin, Associate Curator of Antiquities, J. Paul Getty Museum, on June 27; Carrie Rebora Barratt, President, New York Botanical Garden, on July 11; and Annette Gordon-Reed, Charles Warren Professor of American Legal History at Harvard Law School and Professor of History in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, on July 25.

Series ticket includes all three dates (June 27, July 11, and July 25). Three-part series ticket is $45 ($40 for members). Individual tickets are $20 ($15 for members). Programs begin at 6:30 p.m.
